Super Star Rajinikanth's upcoming multilingual film '2.0'—sequel of 'Endhiran' has been insured for Rs. 350 crore, reportedly for the first time in Tamil film industry, a source said.
The much-awaited sci-fi film '2.0'-- starring Amy Jakson in female lead while Bollywood's action hero Akshay Kumar playing the antagonist, is being produced by Lyka Productions with a whopping budget of Rs. 350 crore. The film has been creating sensations in Indian film industry right before its release.
Two-time Oscar winner AR Rahman is composing the score for the high budgeted picture while Nirav Shah is handling the camera and several top technicians who worked in big-ticket Hollywood films are contributing for this film which is being directed by lead filmmaker Shankar, who directed its first installment and blockbuster 'Endhiran'.
While 'Endhiran' was made with a budget of 120+ crore, its sequel will be made with Rs. 350 crore. '2.0' will hit the screens in 2017.
